Happy Indigenous Peoples Day!


 As you may know, the early Anabaptists (Amish / Mennonites) were among the first to colonize America and settlers after the forced removal of Native indigenous peoples: 


"In 2016, a group of Amish and Native American representatives met in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where a local Amish bishop apologized to Native Americans for the actions of their ancestors. The apology was for the Amish community's passive acceptance of taking Native American land, even though they did not actively participate in warfare against Indigenous tribes."  

I was born on Pottawatomi land (MI) and later a guest on Apalachee (FL) Kānaka Maoli land (HI), Nisqually land (WA), currently in Colorado Springs, home of the Ute People.
